This year too Polymat is presenting Polymat Spotlight, the International Workshop on Macromolecular Materials!
This workshop series aims at exploring and increasing the visibility of emerging and technologically-relevant macromolecular materials.
POLYMAT Spotlight 2024 was held in San Sebastian, from June 11 (Tue) to June 14 (Fri).
SardonLab took part in the seminar with speeches by Dr. Marta Ximesis, Marco Caliari, Giulia Vozzolo and Lucas Polo.

Prof. Haritz Sardon gived a lecture at POLY-CHAR 2024 in Madrid. The Madrid Edition of Poly-Char highlighted βPolymers for our futureβ to stimulate discussions on polymeric materials that can provide answers to urgent societal demands, including sustainability, recyclability, energy storage & generation, biomaterials, nanomaterials, etc.

Guillem Seychal finishes his 1-year internship at Polymat and is continuing with his PhD at the University of Mons, in NIPU.
NIPU-EJD is an European Joint Doctorate in βSynthesis, Characterization, Structure and Properties of Novel Non-Isocyanate Polyurethanesβ. NIPU-EJD is formed by a consortium of 15 international research-performing institutions, from both the academic and non-academic sectors.

Our PhD student Marta Mestre is going to VITO to continue her PhD project. VITO is an independent Flemish research organisation in the area of cleantech and sustainable development. Their goal is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world.

This year the Belgium Polymer Group Annual Meeting celebrated its 30th anniversary in Blankenberge, Belgium on May 30-31.
This edition provided a forum to discuss all current topics in polymer science, both by industrials and academics. The meeting was also a platform for both young polymer scientists and lectures.
Our PhD student Maliheh Razavi took part in this year meeting winning the Best Oral Communication Prize.
